How to find sold items on eBay yourself
- 1Search eBay for the item: the brand and the model or pattern works better than a full listing title.
- 2Open Filters (All Filters on a computer) and tick Sold items under Show only. Completed items also shows listings that ended unsold.
- 3Read the prices in green: those sold. Sort by Ended recently to see the latest sales first.
- 4Open a few sales that match your item's condition and completeness, and ignore lots, parts and the odd outlier.
Sold comps are what matters for pricing: an asking price is a hope, a sold price is what a buyer paid. The search above does the filtering for you and works out the median, the middle sale, so one odd price does not skew it.
Where these numbers come from
Results are completed sales on eBay US. We check the sold listings we have already collected first, and fetch fresh ones from eBay's sold results when we have too few. Listings for parts, empty boxes and replicas are left out unless you search for them.
A search matches every condition and variant of what you typed, so the median is a market price, not the price of your item. For your exact item, scan it free and see the sold listings that match it.

How do I see sold listings on eBay?
On eBay, search for the item, open Filters (All Filters on a computer), and tick Sold items under Show only. Sold prices show in green. On the eBay app the same filter sits under Filter, then Show only. This page does that search for you and adds the median sold price.
Is this eBay sold listings search free?
Yes. You get three lookups a day with no account and no card. We pay for each new search out of a fixed daily budget, so on a busy day the free lookups can run out early. They come back the next day.
How far back do the sold prices go?
Most results are from the last 90 days, the same window eBay shows. Every sale lists its date, and the summary says the oldest and newest sale it used, so you can see how fresh the prices are.
Why is the median different from the price I should ask?
The median is the middle of what similar listings sold for, across every condition and variant the search matched. Your item's condition, completeness and exact model move its price. A photo scan in Underpriced AI prices your specific item and shows the comps it used.
Why are some sales listed below the price eBay shows?
When a sale was a Best Offer, eBay shows the asking price and hides the offer that was accepted. We count those sales at about 90% of the asking price, a typical accepted offer, which is closer to what they really sold for.
Why did my search find nothing?
Very specific searches often match no sales. Try the brand and the model or pattern only, for example Pyrex Butterprint instead of a full listing title.
