Why the Lions
Lions Clubs are local volunteers who show up for sight, hunger and disaster relief in their own towns, which is the same scale we work at: one person, one item, one sale at a time. It is the kind of giving we can see.
Why carbon removal
Stripe Climate pools contributions from businesses to buy permanent carbon removal, the kind that pulls carbon out of the air and locks it away for good, from projects vetted by scientists. Offsetting is cheap and hard to verify; removal is the opposite, which is why we chose it.
The work itself gives back
Every item a reseller prices and sells is one that stays in use instead of going to a landfill. Resellers also donate what does not sell, and we give them a valuation report for those donations at no charge, so the giving counts at tax time.
