Underpriced AI

What is your stuff worth? The app that shows what it really sold for.

Take a photo and the app names the item and prices it from real eBay sales of the same thing. You see the sales behind the number, each one a link.

Your first scan is free, no card. 5,600+ people have priced $2.7M+ of items with it.

One real find. Sold for $30.
How it works

A photo in, a sold price out

Three steps, about a minute, on your phone or your computer.

  1. 1

    Take a photo

One photo of the item, or up to 12 of the same item for one scan. Labels, marks and barcodes help.

  2. 2

    It names the item

Brand, model, maker, edition and condition, read from the photo. No typing in model numbers.

  3. 3

It shows what it sold for

A price and a range from real sold listings, with the sales themselves listed so you can open each one.

Where prices come from

Real sales, not asking prices

A thing is worth what someone paid for it. So the number comes from sales that closed, and you see them.

Completed eBay sales
Sold listings for the same item on the eBay site you sell on, such as eBay US or eBay UK, in that site's currency.
More sales when eBay is thin
When eBay has too few sales, some items add sold prices from Mercari (US) and Poshmark, and specialists like Grailed for vintage clothing and AbeBooks for collectible books.
Asking prices kept apart
What sellers are asking right now is shown on its own and never counted as a sale.
Which sources, in what order

Your number never rests on one feed. For US and UK scans a specialist eBay sold-price API goes first and asks again with broader words when an item is described too specifically, and an independent backup service steps in if that call fails (in Canada, Australia and the larger EU markets that service goes first), and our own archive of over a million sales covers the rest. Some categories add a specialist source, such as Discogs for records or Poshmark for fashion.

Accuracy

Accuracy graded every week

We check our estimates against what items really sold for and publish the result, win or lose.

452

real sales graded in the last 90 days

Last graded

The same item sells for different amounts on different days, so every result shows a range and the sales, not one confident number.

How close the estimates landed

On the 210 sales in the last 90 days where the seller set their own price, the typical gap between our estimate and the sale was 44%, and 46.2% sold inside our range.

Questions

Is there an app that tells you what something is worth?
Yes. Underpriced AI is an app for iPhone, Android and the web: take a photo and it identifies the item and prices it from completed sales of the same item on eBay. The result shows a price, a range and the sold listings behind it, each one a link you can open, so you can check the number yourself.
Is it free?
Your first scan is free with no credit card, and it is the full result: the item, the price, the range and the sales behind it. You sign up with an email to run it. After that, scans come from a plan or a scan pack with no subscription; the pricing page has the current prices. The eBay sold listings search on our site is free with no signup.
Where do the prices come from?
From completed eBay sales of the same item on the eBay site you sell on, such as eBay US or eBay UK. When eBay has too few sales, some items add sold prices from Mercari (for US sellers) and Poshmark, and from specialists such as Grailed for vintage clothing and AbeBooks for collectible books. Asking prices from live listings are shown apart and never counted as sales.
How accurate is it?
Every price comes as a range with the sales behind it, because the same item sells for different amounts on different days. Every week we grade our estimates against what items really sold for and publish the result, wins and misses, on the accuracy page.
What kinds of items work?
Most things people resell: antiques, pottery and glass, vintage clothing, jewelry, collectibles and cards, books, records, electronics, toys, tools and home goods. Books, CDs and records also price from the barcode in the photo. A rare or one of a kind piece has fewer sales to compare, so open the sales listed before you trust the number; a photo of a maker's mark or label helps.
Can I sell it from the app?
Yes. Save the item and the app writes the title, description and item specifics, then publishes it to eBay (10 countries) or Bonanza on your own account. For Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, Mercari and other marketplaces, the free desktop extension fills in the listing form and you click Post; on a phone the app copies each field for you to paste. It never posts to those marketplaces on its own.
