Where the number comes from
Most pricing apps read one feed. If that feed is down, rate limited, or has never seen your item, you get a guess dressed up as a price. We ask five independent sources in order and stop at the first one that actually knows the item.

Whatever comes back is then cleaned the same way every time. Obvious mismatches, lots, bundles and for-parts listings are dropped and outliers are trimmed. The spread across the remaining sales sets how wide the range is. A wide spread means a wide range, because that is the honest answer.
On top of all that, items with a category authority get queried there in parallel. Games, trading cards and comics, sneakers, watches, vinyl, books and streetwear each have a source that knows them better than a general marketplace search does.
Confidence Score
Every scan includes a confidence score so you know how certain the AI is about its analysis. Higher confidence means more reliable pricing data. Lower confidence items may benefit from additional photos or hints when you save them to inventory.
