Inventory

Add an item manually

How to create an inventory item from a scan and then type in your own title, brand, condition, cost and notes.

Items start from a scan, but nothing the AI writes is locked. You can create the item, then set every detail yourself.

Create the item

  1. Click Scan Item on the dashboard.
  2. Take a photo or upload an image from your library. On desktop you can also paste an image URL or a listing URL and the app fetches it.
  3. Before analyzing, add any hints you already know: brand, artist or designer, item name, dimensions, condition, notes.
  4. Review the analysis.
  5. Click Save and List to add the item to your inventory.

On a paid scan the item is saved to your inventory automatically, so there is usually nothing to move. If a particular scan is missing, open it from Scan History and tap Save to inventory.

Fill in the details yourself

Open the item from the Items page and type directly into the fields:

  • Title, brand, condition and description
  • Price for your listing
  • Purchase price, source location, and inbound shipping cost if it was shipped to you

Those details flow into the listing content, so a corrected brand or condition produces a better title and description.

Organize it

On Pro Plus and Business plans, use the item sidebar to assign custom tags and a storage location, for example "Needs Photos" or "Garage - Shelf 1". You can also assign tags and locations to several items at once with bulk operations from the dashboard.

Reprice after your edits

Editing text fields does not change the valuation on its own. If you want the price rerun using your corrections, click Re-analyze on the item page. That reruns the AI and counts as one scan.

The first scan is free with no card. After that, packs start at $4 for 5 scans and plans start at $5 a month, on web or mobile.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add an item without taking a photo?
Items are created from a scan, so you need an image: a camera photo, an upload from your library, a barcode scan for books and music, or on desktop an image or listing URL. Once the item exists, you can type over every field yourself.
How do I move a scanned item into my inventory?
On a paid scan the item saves to your inventory automatically, so check the Items list first. If a scan is not there, for example a free preview scan, open it from Scan History and tap Save to inventory.
Where do I enter what I paid for an item?
When creating or editing an item you can record the purchase price, the source location such as a thrift store or estate sale, and any inbound shipping cost. Those figures feed your profit and ROI numbers on the item page.
