Troubleshooting

An item is not in my inventory

Where scanned items go, how to save a scan to inventory from Scan History, and why some items do not appear in the Items list.

When you scan an item on a paid scan, it is saved to your inventory automatically. There is usually nothing to move. If something is missing, here is where to look.

Check the Items list first

Open your Inventory, which is the Items list, and look there before rescanning. If you have filters applied, or you are only seeing part of a long list, clear the filters and page through the rest before assuming an item is gone.

If you have saved items you have not listed yet, those are already in your inventory. The Death Pile card on your dashboard ranks exactly those unlisted items, so it is a fast way to spot what you own.

Save a scan from Scan History

Some scans are not saved automatically: a free preview scan, or one you discarded after scanning.

  1. Open Scan History.
  2. Find the scan you want to keep.
  3. Tap Save to inventory.

The item then appears in the Items list, where you can add more photos, record a purchase price and create a listing.

Other reasons an item may be missing

  • It was archived. On Pro Plus and Business plans, bulk operations include Bulk Archive, which moves sold or donated items out of the main view.
  • It was deleted. Deleting is permanent: the item's photos and valuation history are gone for good and cannot be restored.
  • You are signed in to a different account than the one you scanned with. That happens most often when an account was created one way, such as with Google or Apple, and later signed in another way.

Get a full list you can check

Use the Export button on your Dashboard toolbar to download your items as a CSV, or export all scans from the Scan History page. The CSV opens in Excel or Google Sheets and includes names, brands, prices and image URLs, which makes it easy to confirm what is actually stored.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move a scanned item into my inventory?
Paid scans save to your inventory automatically, so most items are already there in the Items list. If a scan is missing, for example a free preview scan or one you discarded, open Scan History, find the scan and tap Save to inventory. It then appears with your other items.
Why does my inventory show fewer items than I scanned?
Check for applied filters and page through the full list first. Archived items also drop out of the main view if you used Bulk Archive on Pro Plus or Business. Deleted items are permanently gone. Exporting your items to CSV from the Dashboard gives you the full list to compare.
Can I get back an item I deleted from inventory?
No. Deleting an item is permanent: its photos and valuation history are removed for good. If you want to clear items out of your working view instead, use Bulk Archive on Pro Plus and Business plans, which keeps the records without deleting them.

Try it on web or mobile

Your first scan is free, no card. Plans start at $5 a month and packs at $4 for 5 scans.
