Your estimate is built from real sold prices (resellers call them sold comps), meaning what buyers actually paid, not what sellers are asking.
Where the numbers come from
Every scan runs a live search across the sources that know your item best:
- eBay sold listings first, for everyday resale.
- Poshmark and Mercari sold listings where they fit.
- Grailed for vintage clothing and AbeBooks for books.
- A barcode in the photo (ISBN, or a CD or record's barcode) pins the exact edition through Google Books or Discogs.
- Our own archive of over a million recorded sales.
The exact edition gets priced as itself instead of being lumped into one generic search. Because it is not one fragile source, pricing keeps working when any single site goes dark.

- A price range with low, suggested, and high points.
- Recent sales: actual sale prices and clickable links.
- Listings for sale now: current asking prices.
- Competition and how fast it sells: how many are for sale against how many sell.

- Currency and marketplace come from the Country set on your account, not your phone or browser. Open Settings, find the Country field near the top of your profile, pick your country, and save. If your country is not supported, prices default to the US marketplace in USD.
