Getting started

Item hints and clarify questions

Tell the AI what you already know about an item so the identification, price, and listing come out more accurate.

Hints are the details you type in alongside your photos. They narrow the search, so the AI matches your item to the right comps instead of a lookalike.

What you can add as a hint

  • Brand: the manufacturer or label, if you know it.
  • Artist or designer: for art, pottery, and designer pieces.
  • Item name: the specific model or product name.
  • Dimensions: size measurements, which matter a lot for furniture and art.
  • Condition: your own assessment of wear, chips, or damage.
  • Notes: anything else that helps, such as provenance or history you know.

How to add hints

  1. Add hints while you are creating the item, before you run the analysis.
  2. Or open a saved item from the Items page and add them there.
  3. Save your changes so they stick to the item.

Correcting what the AI got wrong

Open the item from the Items page and edit the title, brand, condition, and description directly in the form fields. Those corrections flow into the listing content the app generates, so your title and description come out accurate right away.

One thing to know: typing notes into the description does not re-price the item on its own. The valuation only changes when you re-run the analysis.

Re-running the analysis with your hints

  1. Open the item.
  2. Tap Re-analyze. The button reads "Use 1 Scan & Re-analyze."
  3. Confirm, and the AI re-runs identification and pricing with your edits included.

Re-analysis costs one scan credit because the full analysis runs again. Adding photos and hints first, then re-analyzing once, is cheaper than re-analyzing after every small edit.

Does the AI learn from you?

Your inputs shape your own results. Details you add are used to identify and price that item more precisely, and your saved corrections improve the listings generated for you. There is no quiet retraining of a global model on your data. If you see an identification that is consistently off, tell support so it can be fixed deliberately.

Frequently asked questions

Do item hints cost a scan?
Adding or editing hints is free. Re-running the valuation with them is what uses a credit: the button reads "Use 1 Scan & Re-analyze" and costs one scan. Add all your hints and extra photos first, then re-analyze once.
Can I correct what the AI identified?
Yes. Open the item from the Items page and edit the title, brand, condition, and description directly in the form fields. Those details flow into the listing the app generates. To make the price reflect your corrections, tap Re-analyze, which uses one scan credit.
Why did my price not change after I edited the description?
Notes typed into the description do not re-price an item by themselves. The valuation only updates when the AI runs again. Use Re-analyze on the item page to re-run identification and pricing with your edits included. That costs one scan credit.

Try it on web or mobile

Your first scan is free, no card. Plans start at $5 a month and packs at $4 for 5 scans.
