Pricing and accuracy
Re-analyze or reprice an item
Use Re-price to refresh market data for free, or Re-analyze to rerun the AI after you add photos, hints or corrections.
There are two ways to update an item you scanned earlier. One refreshes the market data, the other reruns the whole analysis with your changes.
Re-price: refresh the market data
Use this when the identification is right and you just want current numbers before you list something you scanned a while ago.
- Open your Scans list.
- Find the scan you want to update.
- Use Re-price.
Re-price does not use a scan credit. You can re-price each item once every few hours.
Re-analyze: rerun the AI with your changes
Use this when you have added photos, added hints, or corrected what the AI identified. Re-analysis reruns identification and pricing from scratch, so it counts as one scan toward your limit. The button is labeled Use 1 Scan and Re-analyze.
- Open the item from the Items page.
- Edit the fields directly: title, brand, condition, description.
- Add hints if you know them: brand, artist or designer, item name, dimensions, condition, notes.
- Add or replace photos if you have better angles, labels or maker's marks.
- Click Re-analyze on the item page.
Why your edits did not change the price
Typing notes into the description on its own does not re-price the item. Your edits flow into the listing content, but the valuation only changes when you Re-analyze, because that is when the AI runs again with your corrections.
Which one should you use
- Right item, stale numbers: Re-price, free.
- Wrong or vague identification, new photos, new hints: Re-analyze, 1 scan.
If you are out of scans, you can buy a credit pack from $4 for 5 scans, or move up a plan. Credits never expire and are used automatically once you pass your monthly limit.
Frequently asked questions
- Does repricing an item use a scan credit?
- No. Re-price on your Scans list reruns the latest market data on a past scan for free and does not use a credit. You can re-price the same item once every few hours. Re-analyze is different: it reruns the full AI analysis and costs one scan.
- How do I correct an item the AI identified wrong?
- Open the item from the Items page and type over the title, brand, condition and description fields. Add hints such as maker, model or dimensions. Then tap Re-analyze, which says Use 1 Scan and Re-analyze, so the valuation reflects your corrections.
- Does re-analyzing count toward my monthly scan limit?
- Yes. Each re-analysis counts as one scan toward your monthly limit, the same as scanning a new item. Viewing a saved result again does not use a scan, and neither does Re-price on the Scans list.
