Troubleshooting
eBay connection problems
What to check when eBay will not connect, publishing fails, or your listings and sales are not syncing back.
eBay is a full integration: one-click publishing, category selection, item specifics, return and shipping policies, and automatic sale sync. When something breaks, it is usually the connection, the country setting or a missing field eBay requires.
Reconnect your eBay account
- Go to Settings and open Connections.
- Find eBay and connect or reconnect it.
- Log in to eBay when prompted and authorize Underpriced AI.
Connections use OAuth, so we never see or store your eBay password. You can disconnect at any time from the same screen, and reconnecting is the first thing to try if publishing suddenly stops working.
If publishing fails with an error
When eBay rejects a listing it returns its own error message, and the wording usually points at the cause.
- Check your country. Prices, marketplace and shipping defaults come from the Country field near the top of your profile in Settings. If it does not match your eBay account, set it and save. Direct publishing supports the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands and Belgium.
- Fill in every required field. When you pick a category and condition, the form loads the item specifics eBay requires for that category, such as Type, Brand or Model, and pre-fills what it can from your scan. Anything still blank has to be filled before publishing.
- Confirm your shipping and return choices: shipping cost and package weight, free shipping or flat rate, handling time, and a return policy. If you use eBay business policies, make sure they are enabled on your account.
- Try again after reconnecting. If the same eBay error repeats, send it to support at underpricedai.com/contact along with the item name.
If sales are not syncing back
Auto-sync only covers items you listed to eBay through Underpriced AI. Once connected, sale price, real fees, shipping charges and order date are pulled in automatically and the item is marked sold. Manual entries are never overwritten, so if you already typed sale details yourself, the sync will leave them alone.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I reconnect my eBay account?
- Go to Settings and open Connections, then connect eBay again and authorize Underpriced AI when eBay prompts you. The connection uses OAuth, so your eBay password is never stored. Reconnecting is the first fix to try when publishing, price updates or order sync stop working.
- Why does eBay reject my listing when I publish?
- Usually a required field is missing. After you pick a category and condition, eBay's required item specifics load and pre-fill from your scan, but anything left blank blocks publishing. Also check shipping cost, weight, handling time and return policy, and confirm your account Country matches your eBay marketplace.
- Why is a sold item not syncing from eBay?
- Auto-sync covers items you listed to eBay through Underpriced AI with your eBay account connected in Settings. It pulls sale price, actual fees, shipping charges and order date, then marks the item sold. If you already entered sale details manually, the sync preserves your entries instead of overwriting them.
